The pasteurizer and/or cooler is an automatic machine ideal for pasteurizing and/or cooling products packaged beforehand in glass, plastic and tinplate containers of various shapes and sizes. The most suitable products for this type of treatment are: tomato puree, pickles preserved in vinegar or oil, jam, fruit preserve, soft drinks, beer, fruit juice and any product with a pH below 4.5.
The pasteurizer consists in a robust structure made of bent AISI 304 stainless tubular and sheet steel. It is divided into various tanks to create the required heat cycle. Every machine area can be inspected thanks to hatches on the side flank as well as covers on the top. The infeed conveyor belt continuously and automatically loads the containers inside the machine. The polypropylene belt used to transport the containers through the tunnel slides over idle rollers made of AISI 304 stainless steel to reduce friction and to reduce the amount of wear to the belt.
The programmed heat cycle in each tank (to heat and/or cool the container), is created by a shower of water spray issued through special sprayers located on the top part of the machine. Once the water has wetted the containers, it is collected in a side tank where it is filtered and then returned to the high flow rate sprayers by a centrifugal motor-driven pump, ready to repeat the heat cycle again. The outfeed conveyor belt is equipped with a pneumatic aligner. It automatically and continuously unloads the containers form the machine.
The drying station installed on the outfeed conveyor belt eliminates any excess water from the surface of the container. When the heat cycle requires heated water, the water is heated by a coil made of AISI 304 stainless steel, which is filled with steam and immerged in the relative tank. The belt used to convey the containers is driven by an inverter driven gearmotor.
The infeed and outfeed conveyor belts are driven independently by two variable speed motors. The control board, made of AISI 304 stainless steel, houses all machine control and command devices.
