Lateral product movement is achieved by utilizing internally mounted powered belts, which ride under and drive the balls in the Modular Ball-Belt.

At the Rittershausen site, Rittal produces control cabinet frames are manufactured with individually varying lengths, widths and heights. The fully automated production system for welding the frames consists of 15 chained robots, various manipulators and comprehensive control technology coordinating the production runs. Permanent analyses of the production process and the optimisation measures derivedfrom them led to a constant stability and improvement of productivity. By using the latest Cloos technology and due to an extensive retrofit of the system, the cycle times could be improved significantly and down times reduced permanently. Also, maintenance expenditure could be reduced significantly by using a new MAG pulse welding process.
