The wire mesh belt system conveys a continuous flow of small to medium sized parts through a blast cabinet to receive full blast coverage. Standard and custom designs to suit the full range of customer requirements for deflashing, scale removal, sand removal, deburring and general cleaning.
Wheelabrator Mesh Belt machines are fully automated to provide cost-effective and highly productive solutions to meet a variety of surface preparation requirements. Equipped with a continuous flow-through conveyor, this Mesh Belt system eliminates potential part damage caused from part-on-part contact typical of tumbling cleaning systems. The mesh belt machine requires less part handling, resulting in lower operating costs.
Wheelabrator® Mesh Belt systems are ideal for cleaning diverse part shapes and surfaces that would typically prove difficult to be processed on a conventional roller type conveyor or tumbling barrel style machine. Foundries and die casters turn to this versatile system for their cleaning needs. Die cast components, pipe fittings, crankshafts, weldments, forgings and foundry sand castings are commonly cleaned with this equipment.
The mesh belts are made of manganese wire with different mesh openings and wire diameters are available to accommodate the weight and size of the parts. Blast cabinets are constructed from manganese steel for excellent wear resistance in steel shot applications.
All Models can be supplied with 4 or 8 blast wheels, depending on the complexity of the parts to be cleaned. The number of blast wheels and the production rate will determine that horsepower selection. A range of horsepowers are available with each Wheelabrator Mesh belt machine.
