This system was an infeed to a cartoner/sleever. The video shows a great example of how “shingle infeed” rails help create separation between square/rectangle containers. By bringing the containers into the timing screw on an angle, a natural separation is created and the timing screw has a contact point on the container in which the land of the timing screw can hit and control the containers. Once the separation is created, the containers are
rotated 90 degrees due to the packaging pattern requirements. A third (overhead) timing screw then
takes control of the containers so that the containers can be placed directly over the lug conveyor and dropped into the appropriate slot. Simultaneously, you will see that the juice containers are being fed down an adjacent conveyor and rotated onto their sides. As in previous videos, Morrison utilizes a power twist to maintain control of the containers throughout the entire process.

NOTE: Please see that the juice containers are coming in at about a 45 degree angle. This angle is required because the containers are no longer being driven by the conveyor, but instead by the timing screw. The containers naturally form to the helical angle of the timing screw and are laid over. By bringing them in at this nominal 45 degree angle, the containers can be dropped into the lug correctly.

NOTE #2: The lug conveyor shown in the video was not the final production version, but a test conveyor that Morrison assembled specifically for the test. This shows how much depth and work Morrison puts into testing to ensure that there will be little (hopefully none) issues in the field once running in production

Product quality is good, quality assurance system is complete, every link can inquire and solve the problem timely!
